Steve Levene is the founder and owner of Springs Publishing LLC which publishes six community newspapers in metro Atlanta with total circulation of more than 100,000 copies monthly. The company was launched in 2006 and today its titles include four Reporter Newspapers in Sandy Springs, Buckhead, Dunwoody and Brookhaven, Atlanta INtown and Atlanta Senior Life.

Prior to moving to Atlanta, Steve spent 17 years in sales and marketing management positions at Dow Jones & Company, working in New York and Hong Kong. He served as national circulation director of The Wall Street Journal & Barron’s, assistant to the publisher of The Wall Street Journal, circulation & marketing director of The Asian Wall Street Journal and marketing director of the Dow Jones information services group.

A native of Binghamton, NY, Steve graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a B.S. in Sociology and holds an MBA from its Wharton School. He is a graduate of Leadership Sandy Springs and has been a member of several local boards including the Sandy Springs/Perimeter Chamber of Commerce, the Cowart-Ashford YMCA and the former Private Bank of Buckhead board of advisors.

Steve and his wife, Joan, who is a practice manager at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, reside in Sandy Springs. They have three sons: Adam and Michael work and live in Atlanta; David is a Lt. Colonel in the US Air Force, currently stationed in Washington DC.
