Join the fun and fellowship this Thursday - February 19 - at Dunwoody Tavern, 5488 Chamblee Dunwoody Road, Dunwoody! Festivities begin at 5:30 and generally last until about 7:00 pm. It's a great chance to spend time with your Rotary family. Next week, we'll be back at Maggiano's on Friday morning with Dana Rickman, CEO, Georgia Partnership for Excellence in Education.

It's that time of year again, when Appen Media Group conducts its 2026 Best of Perimeter competition. We are proud to have several Rotarians and friends of RCD who have been nominated for 2026 recognition. Topping the list with six nominations is Charlie Augello and the E.48th St. Market. You can help by voting for these businesses between February 15 and 18 - just go to Best Of Perimeter 2026 | appenmedia.com and scroll down to cast your votes in a variety of categories.

Our own Jon Vinyard and co-author Walt Carter will have a book signing for "Stop Driving Behind Idiots - Leadership Systems for Breakthrough Performance" on Saturday, February 28 from 2-4 pm at Barnes & Noble, East Cobb, 4475 Roswell Road, Marietta, GA 30062, (470) 289-3365. Jon and Walt spoke about their book at our club earlier this Rotary year.

Our very own Mark Galvin recently hosted an insightful episode of his podcast, Dunwoody Dialogues, featuring a deep dive into a topic that affects many families: Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD).
In this episode, Mark sits down with fellow club member Dr. David Ready to demystify OCD. Dr. Ready shares his professional expertise on what the condition actually is, how it differs from common misconceptions, and the various ways it can impact daily life.
It is a fantastic opportunity to see two of our members engaging in a meaningful conversation that brings awareness to mental health. Whether you are looking to learn more about the clinical side of OCD or simply want to support our fellow Rotarians, this interview is well worth the watch.

Join us for a cup of St. Patrick's Day cheer at the Barden's home on Sunday, March 16 from 3-5 pm. Jud Shumway will be playing some Irish music, and we'll be serving Irish coffees and wine. Bring a bottle of wine and an appetizer to share. You'll find the Bardens at 5576 Colbert Trail in Peachtree Corners. Please RSVP by text or phone call to Louise at 404 423-8236, or by email to lbarden@comcast.net.

When Rotary clubs sponsor the Laws of Life Essay Contest, young people have the opportunity to breathe out, sharing their reflections on things like perseverance, integrity, gratitude, and responsibility. Essay judging is one of the most meaningful ways Rotarians can get involved in the Georgia Laws of Life Contest - and your opportunity to be a judge is coming up soon!
Judges read students’ reflections on a character trait—often describing the experience of essay writing as eye-opening and deeply rewarding.
