Join us this Friday at the Embassy Suites or via Zoom to hear about the results of our club's recent member satisfaction survey. Dunwoody Rotarian Peter Sherman was the conductor of the survey and, I must say, the quality of the survey was exceptional and the interpretation of the results was very professional. On Tuesday, February 18, the results of the survey were presented to the Board of Directors for discussion. This Friday, the results will be presented to the membership. I think you'll find the information to be interesting and the results will help guide us as we plan for the future. If you completed the survey, thank you, your voice was heard. If you did not, then this is an opportunity for you to add input.
Please plan to attend, If you cannot, you can participate via
Zoom at https://us02web.zoom.us/j/
This year, you have the opportunity to attend the first ever joint district conference. If you plan on being there but haven't registered yet, you will want to get that done this week as the rates go up on March 1.
Most of you are accustomed to registering for conference on Rotary6900.org, but this year the conference has its very own website, GeorgiaUnitedDC.com. When you click on the registration button, it takes you to a form on DACdb and many of you don't have a login for DACdb. Not to worry, you can register through DACdb as a guest. Just select the "Guest Registration" tab at the top of the form and follow the prompts to get signed up for our first-ever joint district conference. [more]
This week's message is a simple collection of numbers that add up to success:
Visit our FORE the Memories! tournament website or contact Bob O'Brien to learn more about the opportunities.
Join us at the 2025 District Training Assembly in Columbus, Georgia on March 29, 2025 from 8:00 am to 12:30 pm. This event offers a comprehensive program that covers all aspects of Rotary leadership - from club administration to community service projects. It's an opportunity to gain invaluable insights into the workings of Rotary and the resources available to you, and to make new connections (or renew connections) with Rotarians throughout the District.
The club will pay the registration fee for those who want to attend. It's highly recommended for future club leaders - including Board members and Rotarians who just want to know more about how Rotary works. See Matthew Johnson now if you'd like to attend.
Please join Be the Voice on Friday March 21 at a gala event to celebrate 10 years of success!
As you know, the Rotary Club of Dunwoody is in its first year in the program - partnering with Dunwoody Elementary School. Did you know, however, that the 28 schools in one of Georgia's largest school districts who participate in Be the Voice saw a dramatic decline in bullying from 2021 to 2023. Compared to schools not in the program, there is a 95% reduction in bullying incidents in elementary schools, a 77% reduction in middle schools and a 91% reduction in high schools. Rotarian support is a big reason we have been able to spread our programming throughout the state!
So grab your significant other, put on your dancing shoes and order your tickets today! The event takes place at the Country Club of Roswell. Visit the 10 Year Gala - Be THE Voice website to learn more and get your tickets for an epic night of celebration.
Marion and Austin Bunch have invited all who are interested to home on Sunday March 23 from 4 to 6 PM for a BYOB winefest. Participants also are asked to bring an appetizer to share.
