We hope you read through to the end, but if you don't, at least know that it's back-to-back Thursday and Friday events:

Join us this Friday at the AC Hotel to welcome Brad Raffensperger, Georgia Secretary of State. It's a great opportunity to bring a guest - especially one who might be interested in Rotary!
Brad
Raffensperger is Georgia’s 29th Secretary of State, first elected in 2018 and
overwhelmingly re-elected in 2022. The Secretary’s top priority is secure and accessible elections.
As Secretary of
State, Raffensperger delivered the largest implementation of voting machines in
the history of this country, on time and on budget. Under the leadership of Secretary
Raffensperger, Georgia modernized its election system by adding its first
auditable paper ballot system and giving the power to secure Georgia’s
elections directly to the voter. He is the first Secretary of State to pass
legislation requiring photo ID for all forms of voting, and the first to hold
counties accountable to voters by expanding polling places.
Brad and his
wife Tricia started out as high school sweethearts and have now been married
for over 45 years. They raised
three sons and immensely enjoy spoiling their three grandchildren. They are members of North Point Community
Church.

Now is the time to buy tickets for Whiskey Raffle #1 - just ahead of tomorrow night's drawing at our monthly Thirsty Thursday event.
Thanks for your support!
Last week, we came close to repeating history - with a major Dunwoody Scholarship drawing on Friday the 13th! No one so lucky as this story from the club's fifth anniversary year ... January 20, 1989 ... "What are the odds that Someone named Friday would win thirteen dollars not once but two times on the same day in our Scholarship drawing on Friday the 13th? Al Friday did! Believe it or not!"
The good news ... about $1,000 in this week's Dennis Crean memorial scholarship drawing. Play to win!
Thanks for hosting the club, Meghan Berry as we restart our Wine Fellowship group! Oh so many wines to sample - and the blind wine taste testing was a hit!! Good thing there was so much good food, too.

Good walk for a great cause last weekend with Rotary Club of Dunwoody volunteers Hoshi & Baku Daruwalla, Jennifer Shumway & Jud Shumway, Bob & Andrea O'Brien. The team handled check-in and then did the walk with the whole group. FSHD made their $50,000 goal today for work and research for this rare form of Muscular Dystrophy!
The Rotary Club of North Atlanta will host its Whiskeys of the World fundraiser this Saturday night, October 21. General admission tickets are still available and the club could use some additional volunteers to help with registration, escorting VIPs, assisting
with the Masterclasses (checking tickets, arranging chairs, etc.), verifying
tickets for general admission, etc. If you are interested in attending, visit the Whiskies of the World/Atlanta website. To see about volunteering, contact Club President Mike Emanuele at
