Last Friday night, we said a big THANK YOU to Matthew Johnson for leading us through 2025-26, honored people for helping us make a difference during the year, and welcomed incoming President Dave Burr and his Board for the 2026-27 Rotary year.
Today is the first official day of the new Rotary year! We've included a picture of Matthew and Dave here, and will include more from last Friday's event - including the fabulous table decorations - in next week's bulletin. In the meantime, enjoy your Fourth of July weekend and plan some time with us this Saturday at Dunwoody's 4th of July celebration!

Come out this Saturday to celebrate our country, honor our Silver Sponsorship, and show Dunwoody the true meaning of Service Above Self. Watch for a separate email from President Dave with more details!

We are pleased to report that Past President Carter Stou has been recognized as our 2025-26 Rotarian of the Year, and that Rookie of the Year honors go to Stephen Dolinger. Both were honored at last Friday's End-of-Year gala.

Matthew took a moment during the annual banquet to recognize Past President Anne Glenn's 40th anniversary with the club.

Thanks to the incredible success of our recent golf tournament, our club is proud to announce a donation of $20,000 this year to the Do What You Can to End ALZ campaign! This milestone contribution brings our lifetime donation giving to over $100,000 in support of Alzheimer's research and family support services. Club members Bob O'Brien and Charlie Augello presented the ceremonial check to Dan Philips of the Georgia Alzheimer's Association. We extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who contributed, volunteered, and cheered us on—together, we are making a meaningful difference in the fight to end Alzheimer’s.

Our club will enjoy a night at the Gwinnett Stripers game in Lawrenceville on Saturday, August 8, 2026. Game time is 6:05 pm. Cost is $15 per ticket; children 12 and under will be admitted free as guests of the Club. The Stripers are playing the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp that evening. It is also Chris Sale Bobblehead giveaway night. Food will be available for purchase at the concession stands throughout the game. The Stripers play at Gwinnett Field, formerly Cool Ray Field. The Stadium is located at 2500 Buford Drive, Lawrenceville, Georgia 30043. Parking is $12 per car.
Please RSVP with the number of persons in your party via email - to Sherry Levy at sherrylevy13@hotmail.com ASAP. If you have questions, please call Sherry at 770 286-3764. Either Sherry or Ken will be at the main entrance to the stadium with your tickets prior to the game and will wait until 5:45 pm before entering the stadium.

As we step into an exciting new Rotary year, our nation is also reaching an extraordinary milestone—the 250th anniversary of the United States. To honor this historic occasion and celebrate our shared commitment to both country and community, our new Club President has a special gift for every single member to celebrate this monumental milestone.
We are proud to introduce a beautifully crafted, limited-edition commemorative lapel pin. The design elegantly blends the American flag with the iconic Rotary wheel, anchored by our timeless and profound motto: "Service Above Self." It serves as a powerful reminder of how our dual values of patriotism and humanitarian service intertwine to build a better world.
